Managing Innovation in Public Policing

28 May 2013
Marleen Easton presented her main findings on ‘Managing Innovation in Public Policing’(1) at the European First Responder Innovation Platform Meeting on May 28th, 2013, at Kortrijk XPO in Belgium. Innovation within the European First Responder organizations (police, fire fighters, ambulance services and civil protection) is unfortunately fragmented by country, region and organization. This meeting was organized to build up an international platform for innovation managers from first responder organizations within Europe. Meeting each other on a regular basis will help to develop an understanding of each other’s research strategies and needs, as well as, to learn from each other and ultimately facilitate possible cooperation with future European projects. Moreover, this engagement with industry colleagues is meant to inspire and foster the latest trends and innovative developments.
